I've been neglecting this page badly. I wish I could say life is less busy, and I have all sorts of time to spend on here updating; unfortunately I don't. A lot has happened in the last few months. Ryan has finished his A&P1 and has started A&P2. Life consists of Family, Work, School. There isn't much time for anything else, so if you haven't seen us lately...that would be why!It has proven to be a busy life, but it's the life we have chosen for right now, and we are making the best of it. Thankfully we have great work schedules and I am only taking one online class this semester, so our kids get an abundance of our time.

Evan and Alivia have been loving the warm weather. It is so much fun watching Alivia get to enjoy her first summer walking around, and getting into things. She is a handful however. I've found her twice in the last week getting into my things; first it was my eye shadow; second it was the baby powder. (I do recall my precious little son getting into the vaseline around her age...)She is a blessing, and such a joy to watch her figure things out, and be creative in her own little way. Evan too has such an imagination! Most of the time he pretends to be Buzz light year; somedays he is a pirate. It depends on his mood, but he loves to pretend. He is starting to go through the stage of ignoring mom and dad, acting as if he doesn't hear me telling him no two feet away. (Anyone else have this problem with their three year old? wow!) I am so grateful for my little buddy. It's days when out of the blue he gives me a big hug and kiss and tells me he loves me, or days when he tells me all about Jesus and what he did for him on the cross, that make the not listening part worth it. The faith of a child is so precious. I absolutly love hearing him talk about Jesus.

Ryan and I are coming up on six years this July. I can't even begin to comprend how six years have gone by. I am so blessed to have this man. He is such an example to me. I couldn't have asked for any one better to walk this walk with me. Through the last six years, we have gone through some pretty tough life experiances. Job changes, lay offs, building and selling, a cancer scare, children, career changes, and the most fresh wound I'm still healing from. God has been so good in our marriage. I'm blessed to have gone through these things with Ryan because he has made me stronger through them. Six years have been wonderful. I can't wait to see where the next years take us.

I think I am done being all mushy now. I will update with pictures of the recent happenings in the DeVries family in the next week. Hope all is well with everyone, and everyone is enjoying their summer so far!
