Nothing New

There really isnt a whole lot going on with us lately. Just the never ending stress of worrying over Ryan's job. There are days that I think he will be ok, and then there are times when I am constantly second guessing everything. While we were on vacation are very good friend was let go. It is really hard, and really scary. Other than this whole lay off thing, there isnt much else new. Our grass is growing nicely and that is a relief to Ryan. It is looking good around here, slowly...

Eventful Weekend

We had a really crazy but fun long weekend. Wednesday morning my sister and I drove down to the Vanderploeg's cottage where my parents were staying for the week and enjoyed the water and the sun. It is such a nice place! Evan had a good time in the pack in play in the shade just playing with his toys while Oliver was hilarious running around in the water. It was a lot of fun. I left from there and drove all the way home to leave 3 hours later for camping with Ryan's family for the rest of the week. (what a great anniversary right!?) Anyway, we had a really nice time, and it was nice to get away again. I really think Ryan enjoyed getting away, not having to stress about work. Me? I stress anyway. :) But really we had a good time. Evan did so good, and our niece's Brooke and Kenzie were so fun to watch this year! They are growing up so fast! It is amazing to me to see Brooke changing so much! She isnt that little girl anymore! I couldnt believe how independent she was getting her worm on her hook and fishing all by her self. And Kenzie, haha. She is just funny because all she wanted to do was play in the dirt. Kids will be kids. It is fun. I cant wait till Evan is that big. Anyway...
We left for home Saturday morning because we had my Dave and Wendi's bachelorette party at night. The guys went golfing and grilled at Matt and Lisa's, and us girls went out to a few places. We had a good time. All in all, very clean and great time!
Now, we are just recooperating from a long and tiering weekend. Great times though!

3 years

Well, I know it is a few days late but I just thought I would say we have been married 3 years! July 23 was our anniversary and all I can say I cant believe how time flies! God has blessed us richly with an awesome marriage and a beautiful baby. I fall more in love with Ryan everyday. Watching him be a dad is such an awesome feeling. He is such a good dad and great husband. Thanks hunny for 3 amazing years!
I am alive, I just havent had anything to talk about lately! Ryan and I are leaving for camping with his family tomorrow and coming home on Saturday. Saturday night we have Dave and Wendi's Bachelor and Bachelorette parties. Cant wait!

Cute family I know. Kathy Ryan's mom needed a picture going "up and down" for her wall so we took this one for her. Kinda cute I think. :)

Blessed and Thankful

Well, I dont know if anyone knew this or not but the last day has been so hard for Ryan and I. Ryan's company was doing layoffs and told everyone yesterday morning they would be laying off 110 people. He told me this in the morning so of course I thought about it all day. They hadnt got to his area yesterday but today did. He is safe for now, as well as a really good friend of ours who also works there. All day yesterday I was praying, but didnt really know how to pray. How can I pray for someone else to loose thier well needed job over my husband, and why is Ryan's job more important than anyone else's. Obviously its not, but when you ask God for something like that, I am asking Him to take the hit off from Ryan and on to someone else. I hope this is making sense, and me not just blabbing, but it was really hard. There are really a lot of people who lost thier job yesterday and today that needed it despretly and now are faced with trying to find a job in the hard economy. I just feel blessed and so thankful today. He is said there may be more coming in the next month or two we just have to wait and see if anything changes.

Almost Done!

I went to GR today for an appointment for Evan with his helmet. It is amazing the difference from start to now. His doctor wanted him to come back in 3 1/2 weeks for another re-scan of his head, but by then he will be finished. :) I am so excited and I am sure he is ready to be rid of that thing. All though he is adorable in it, it will be nice to see his cute little round head.
This week is extremly busy. I just want ONE day where I have nothing, but that isnt going to happen for a while. Tomorrow I have to work ALL day at the dealership which I am not looking forward to at all. I know I have it easy only working a little here and there, but the thought of working from 8-6 just is sickening.
Thursday is my birthday, and Evan's 1/2 birthday! He will be 6 months!!!! I cant believe how time flys. He is finnally sleeping through the night, except last night. He seems to have a runny nose again. I dont know if it is teething or a cold, but he is SO grumpy the last few days, and REFUSES to nap. It makes for long days for mommy. I dont know if anyone else had this problem, but Evan will not take naps in his crib. He just wont. No matter how long I let him cry, he will not take a nap in his crib. It is my fault I know because for so long I would let him fall asleep in his swing, or in my arms...and now he is just stuck where he will not take a nap unless he is laying on MY bed. And it even has to be on my side too. He is kinda a naughty little guy already. He may be only 6 months, but he knows what he is doing. We got into bad habbits and I am paying for them now. At least my next child I will be well aware to stay clear of my bed and always put them in thier crib for naps.
Anyway--I think that is all I have to say today. I hope everyone has a great day and is able to enjoy the weather. I am off to bring my grumpy little guy to Aunt Wendi. Poor Wendi. She has no clue what she is getting today...

Some Pictures of My Baby

I thought I better put some pictures up of him. He is growing so fast. Thursday he will be 6 months already!

No Evan?

Yes...I know my new picture does not include Evan. I do not have ANY good pictures of the WHOLE family. I am working on a nice family picture so when I get that I will post that instead of the one of Ryan and I. I just dont like the old one.

Totally Random

Ok...this is out of no where, but have you ever found a musician where you like a few songs on thier albulm, and then the rest kinda suck? I just discover Colbie Caillat. She really isnt new, they play 2 songs of hers on the radio, but I fell in LOVE with her songs. Every single one I have downloaded I love. Just a FYI if you wanted to download some good stuff. K...randomness done for the day.

Flooding take 2

So remember that bad storm like a month ago and our subdivison was under water. Here we go again.

Where's my sign?

So I am sure everyone has heard the phrase, "Here's your sign." refering to your "stupid" sign. Well last night I had a "Here's your sign" moment. Ryan had a double header last night so after work I was able to make it to his 8:30 game. They actually won thier second game 18-8 which was great and all...well we were packing up and getting everything in my car (we of course had two cars there) I threw the diaper bag and my purse in the front seat and shut the door only to realize my keys were in there too. And I locked the door. Whoops. And the spare was in the diaper bag. Whoops again. What can you do at this point? Thank goodness Evan was not in the car yet. We actually called a lock smith and while we were waiting for him, I realized I had popped the trunk before I threw everything in the front seat. Ryan then hopped in the trunk and pushed the back seat forward and thank goodness unlocked the door. It was quite a site, but unfortunatly I realized this after about 1/2hr of being locked out. As we were pulling out of the parking lot we saw the lock smith pull in. I did feel bad seeing how it was after 10pm so I called him back and told him I would send him something for the gas on coming out. So yeah...my stupid moment of the day. See Steph? We all do stupid things sometimes. :)
