This Weekend

Well this weekend was quite boring. For me at least. Friday night Ryan and I just hung out at home and watched Dateline. It is funny how when you get married and have kids you suddenly find intrest in things like that, and the 5 o'clock news, and even wanting to eat at 4:30. We are 25 and 21 going on 55 and 51. (Not that there is anything wrong with being that age..we'll get there someday.)But yes..Friday all we did was sit home with Evan and watch Dateline. Saturday, I worked all day at the dealership, came home and said goodbye to my husband for the night. He went to a Skillet concert in Kalamazoo with friends...Lucky. So Evan and I stayed home by ourselves. It was a very boring night. All though...I was flipping through the channels and came across Hannah Montana. I now know what Hannah Montana is all about and all I can say is thank goodness Evan is a boy. :) Anyways...I know all of you were dying to know what we did all weekend so that was the extent of it. Man do we have an exciting life or what. :)

Time is flying!

I cant believe it is almost April! Ever since Evan was born time is just going so fast! He is already almost 3 months old and it feels like we were just in the hospital yesterday. And now April is almost here! Crazy! We all are looking so forward to spring and summer. I cant wait to take Evan in my sister's pool this summer. It will be so fun to see all his reactions to the outdoors. Spring is almost here...and I cant wait!

March 21

UUGGHHH! SNOW! I am so ready for spring! The weather has been so crazy the last few days. Yesterday was so nice, people were out walking through our neighborhood and now it is cold and snowy again. It wont make up it's mind! Oh well, that is Michigan weather I guess. Anyway- I actually got some scrapbooking done today. I packed Evan up and went to my mom's and scrapbooked with my sister Amy for a while. All though I think I was there for 3 hours and only got 3 pages done. It is amazing how little you get accomplished with a baby...not to mention she had Jonas with her too.
Speaking of Amy and Jonas, their family could really use some prayer. Her oldest son Oliver has RSV and because of that, Amy had to move in with my parents with Jonas so he doesnt get it. She came home from the hospital on Sunday and had to move in with them on Monday. Oliver isn't getting better either. He had to go in to the hospital again today because he was running fever. It is kinda a stress because he always is getting sick and can never get over it. I never mentioned this before but Oliver has a lot of breathing issues. They ran all kinds of tests on him and did find that his trecia is very narrow which makes breathing a difficulty when he gets sick. So...please pray that Oliver gets better so that Amy can join Jason and Oliver at home with their new little guy.

March 18

Yay!! The busscher baby is finally here! Ryan, Evan and I went and saw little Chase...what a cutie. Congradulations to Todd and Sarah. He is so cute. It was so cool to see them as parents now. You could see the love all over their faces. It is crazy how instantanious it is too. Seeing little babies like that just reminds you of how awesome our creator is. I see it everyday when I look at Evan. Everyday he is learning new things and doing more and more...It is just so cool to see God's handi work. I think when you become a parent you have a differnt perspective on God's love for us as well. It is pretty awesome! So anyways...if you read this Todd and Sarah, congrats! He is beautiful!

March 14

This sunshine is awesome! It is so good to look outside and see the ground for once and the snow melting. Evan and I took a walk this afternoon. It was wonderful to be outside again. The only bad thing about looking outside is that I see all the incredible amout of work we still have to do to this house! The snow is melting and now our lawn...(you cant really call it a lawn...more like a field of mud) needs some attending to. We have all our landscaping to do and underground sprinkling and grass needs to be seeded. Yikes..there is a lot to do yet! Anyway..it is still nice to know spring is coming, even though it brings work with it.

March 12

Well...I gotta say that the DeVries family is getting more and more hi-tech. I have my sister-in-law to thank for this though. Anyway...Monday Evan turned 2 months! It is CRAZY how time flies. We went to the doctor monday and he got his first set of shots. Poor thing, just when he is happy and smiling is when they got him. The look of complete shock spread all over his face. I of course felt worse about it then he did. He is cooing now and smiling...kicking like crazy. He loves his swing (thanks heather) and his little bear mobile above it. He has tons of conversations with those bear. It is pretty entertaining to listen to.
Ryan is still at Tiara Yachts. He loves it, although being a boss can be frustrating dealing with everyone's personalities. (Boy, do I hear it all...) anyway...Tiara has been such a blessing for our family. It is such a great company and in these hard times economicly it has been such a blessing from God to have such a stable job.
And I, well I have been starting Evan's dutch costume. It is very intresting because I am such an amature. It is going ok...but thank goodness for the ladies at fields fabric willing to help me out whenever I need it. I am sure I will be going in there alot with questions. I havent been able to scrapbook lately, I havent had the time but that is one of my favorite things to do. (other than hanging out with my hubby and little guy) Anyway....that I think sums it up...Thats about all I have for today....
